Data & Communication Core

Our goal is to spread I-HEAL’s impact, focusing on health systems and delivery of TBI care within VA/DOD and beyond. With an online presence like I-HEAL’s website, it’s a friendly and reliable landing space for public and private dissemination of information. I-HEAL’s study website allows all study personnel to securely access the up-to-date dynamic study reports for information on the status of enrollment, data errors, and missing data. I-HEAL’s dissemination efforts will be led with strategic planning that targets audiences, channels, with consideration of impact. Developing an online dashboard documenting the overall and individual projects progress, and developing the beta version of the online I-HEAL Toolshed housing project deliverables.

DCC Objectives:

  •  
    Collaborate with PIs to ensure successful execution of the protocol and follow-up of all participants enrolled in individual quantitative data collection efforts across projects through the use of multiple communication strategies.
  •  
    Obtain, manage, and analyze data from relevant individual projects.
  •  
    Ensure adherence to the research protocol by participants and research staff through in-person and virtual data collector trainings alongside the ISC, regular teleconferences, and constant data validation to monitor the quality of data collection, record keeping, documentation, and accuracy of data entry.
  •  
    Provide statistical support, expertise, and oversight for the duration of the proposed studies.
  •  
    Coordinate communication between individual projects and Cores as outlined in the Implementation Plan.
  •  
    Provide administrative and logistical support for the study.
  •  
    Organize, maintain, and submit study data and de-identified study resources to a study repository upon the completion of the study.
